Wild-crafted Palo Santo is a revered tree native to South America. It is also used in many religious settings throughout the southwestern United States. Loosely translated, Palo Santo means Holy Wood. Many find the aroma grounding and calming. Its aroma smells woody, sweet, balsamic and slightly fruity. Its major constituents are (+)-Limonene, (+)-Menthofuran, a-Terpineol, Carvone, and Germacrene D.
Wild-crafted Frankincense sacra is now on the endangered list. I buy this essential oil from Aromatics International, a small non-MLM Montana-based family-run business and trust their source as providing sustainable oil. Frankincense Essential Oil is used most often for spiritual, perfumery and incense /room fragrancing applications but also as a therapeutic oil. Its references throughout religious texts allude to the heavy use of the oil in ritual and sacred settings. Its aroma smells fresh, woody, balsamic, slightly spicy and fruity with sacra being a softer Frankincense in my opinion. Its major constituents are a-Pinene, a-Phellandrene, (+)-Limonene, B-Myrcene, B-Pinene, B-Caryophyllene, p-Cymene, Terpinen-4-ol, Verbenone, Sabinene and Linalool.
Organic Myrrh is a tree resin that has been used and valued since ancient times. The aroma is woody, earthy and a bit balsamic. It is a wonderful base note to include in blends intended for spiritual, meditative and holiday fragrancing applications. It's main constituents are Furanoeudesma-1,3-diene, Furanodiene, Lindestrene, B-Elemene, Germacrene B, Geracrene D, Delta-Elemene, and 2-Methoxyfuranodiene.
Organic Blood Orange is a beautiful essential oil that comes from the same botanical nature as Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis). Its aroma is a bit more tantalizing, bright and tart. I find it has a deep aroma compared to its cousin. Its constituents should be similar to Sweet Orange with Limonene comprising up to 95% of the oil.
Organic Neroli is steam distilled from the fragrant flowering blossoms of the orange tree, Citrus aurantium. The aroma of Neroli Essential Oil is intensely floral, citrusy, sweet and exotic. It's main constituents are Linalool, (+)-Limonene, Linalyl Acetate, (E)-B-Ocimene, a-Terpineol, B-Pinene, Geranyl Acetate, (E)-Nerolidol, and Geraniol.
Organic Jojoba Oil is actually a wax, and not an oil. Its composition is similar to that of the skin's natural sebum (oil). Its viscosity is medium.

SENSITIVITY & ALLERGIES: I always use high quality, natural ingredients but some herbs and oils can cause reactions to those allergic or sensitive. When trying new products, always do a skin patch test by applying to a small area of healthy, non-irritated skin (the underside of the wrist or underarm is a good place), to check for skin sensitivities. This is especially important if planning to apply to broken or damaged skin. Wait about 20 minutes. Look for redness, a rash near the area or elsewhere. Always monitor yourself or your child whenever using aromatherapy blends.
